My approach to play design focuses on :​

Innovative Play Sculptures: 

Crafting visually compelling play structures that intrigue and invite children to explore and interact in their unique ways. Helping them to explore play in non-descriptive ways wherever possible. These structures serve as both playgrounds and works of public art.

Inclusivity Beyond Physical Access: 

Ensuring playscapes cater to a broad spectrum of physical, emotional, and sensory needs. My experiences with Fiona Robbe Landscape Architects have deepened my understanding of comprehensive inclusivity in play design.​

Collaborative Design: 

Engaging with landscape architects, local governments, and communities to create designs that reflect their needs and aspirations, fostering a sense of ownership and pride in public play spaces. I endeavour to involve fabricators from the onset of the design process to ensure the playscape is successful, adaptable, and flexible to meet future requirements

Balancing Creativity and Practicality: 

While safety and maintenance are crucial, they should not stifle creativity. I design playscapes that meet all safety standards while retaining their artistic and playful essence.

My diverse background in theming construction, landscape design, interior design, zoo habitats, film set design, and playscape design allows me to create unique, bespoke playscapes that are tailored to the specific needs and characteristics of each community.
